Bison Venture Partners (BVP) is a vehicle for change. Our mission is to forge strong partnerships with small businesses, technology startups, and investment firms, focusing on building pathways to wealth and fostering sustainable community impact. Our team is dedicated to advising on profitable growth strategies, enhancing investment readiness, and ensuring meaningful access to capital. BVP’s goal is to be at the forefront of advocating for equitable change in an increasingly diverse world.
Our north star comes from an African proverb that says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” That's why we call our community “The Herd,” as we see ourselves embarking on a collective journey with each of us going further together.
So, what what do you get with official membership in The Herd?
This includes our blog posts breaking down entrepreneurship fundamentals in addition to our interviews with successful innovators. We've created a lot of high quality content, with collective input from our community, to help inspire and guide your journey.
I've been teaching entrepreneurship at the university level for more than half a decade, and I'm always asked how folks can learn from me without going back to college. As a member of our community, you get access to my recorded courses such as Introduction to Angel Investing.
We review various startup investment opportunities that are accessible to our community and develop a comprehensive analysis to help you see what questions you may want to ask yourself before backing a certain company. Our memos and reports are for educational purposes only, and we hope you can use them to develop an investor's mindset.
Our unique spin on traditional pitch competitions helps earl-stage entrepreneurs get access to funding and amplify their brand to a global audience. Only our members are able to participate, and our funding comes directly from the community.
