In our mission to invest in the next generation, we donate $1 from each bag sold to support student entrepreneurs attending Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs). Why? Because as current MBA Candidates at Howard University, we know the value of receiving a world-class education at an illustrious institution which has gone on to produce prominent leaders such as Thurgood Marshall, Zora Neal Hurston, Toni Morrison, Chadwick Boseman, Taraji P. Henson, and the current Vice President of The United States of America, the real Bison VP — Kamala Harris. However, history and culture are being threatened across the U.S., and we see this as a tangible strategy to invest in the legacy of continued success produced in our HBCU community.
Nonprofit Initiatives We Support
Founded by Pharrell Williams, “Black Ambition is a non-profit initiative working to close the opportunity and wealth gap through entrepreneurship. We invest capital and resources in high-growth startups founded by Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs. We believe entrepreneurs historically left out of traditional investment funnels are building the companies of tomorrow. We are changing the landscape of who is investable and whose dream is worth funding. These are united stakes. Thank you for supporting our ambition to narrow the capital access and community wealth gap for Black and Hispanic founders through entrepreneurship.”
Thurgood Marshall College Fund
“Established in 1987, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community. TMCF member-schools include the publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Publicly-supported HBCUs enroll over 80% of all students attending HBCUs. Through scholarships, capacity building and research initiatives, innovative programs, and strategic partnerships, TMCF is a vital resource in the K-12 and higher education space. The organization is also a source for top employers seeking top talent for competitive internships and good jobs.”
